Join us as we welcome fellow CSSUG member and Microsoft SQL Server Escalation Engineer, Sergey Pustovit as he presents "What's New in SQL Server 2008 R2 - An Overview."

Abstract:

During this session, Sergey will go over the new features that have been introduced in SQL Server 2008 R2. Among the many exciting new features are PowerPivot, Data Compression and StreamInsight.
 

Speaker's Bio:

Sergey is a SQL Escalation Engineer with Microsoft's CSS Team in Charlotte. As member of the SQL Server Escalation Services Team, Sergey works on the most challenging technical issues brought to the team. He interacts closely with the SQL Server Development team working on problem resolutions and providing product feedback. He is an active member of the SQL Community and a featured speaker at SQLSaturday #33 in Charlotte. He has 15 years of industry experience, working with distributed database systems, designing and developing business solutions for the financial industry.
